Eddie has long supported the Wokingham Poppy Appeal. He is known for his dedication throughout the collection period, standing with his tray and tin at Wokingham Station every weekday morning. Such is Eddie’s dedication, that he will start his sessions shortly after 6am and stay until the peak hours has passed, four hours later. I’ve counted many of Eddie’s tins and most have several hundreds of pounds within.
Eddie’s contribution to the Wokingham Poppy Appeal in 2015, £ 3,200, is close to a staggering 1/10th of the total raised. David Dunham calculates that Eddie must have raised over £ 60,000 over his years supporting the appeal.
