Sue Lardge

About Sue Lardge

Sue Lardge received a Civic Award in 2016 for their commitment to the Wokingham Poppy Appeal. Her Nomination follows:-

This is Sue’s 40th year as a volunteer to Wokingham’s Poppy Appeal. Her contribution benefits;

– The Wokingham Poppy Appeal volunteers. Sue not only collects within the town, she helps coordinate the back office supplies leading to the appeal collection period and after. She arranges the stock room and patiently sifts through and sorts the pins (taking many to do at home), ready to be reused for following years.
– People who would like to remember or buy a Poppy.
– Wokingham residents supported by the Poppy Appeal/British Legion.

I know first hand, if you’re having a tough time, Sue will try and recruit you to join the Rock Choir. She enthusiastically talks about how the Choir can bring energy and joy to people.
