Malcolm Hollings received a Civic Award in 2016 for his commitment to the 3rd Wokingham Scouts. His Nomination follows:-
The young people of Wokingham have benefitted by Malcolm (Mack). He has been in the Scout Movement for over 50 years; when the Scout Hut was built on the Norreys estate in 1959 there was no competition, now this is changing with new housing developments which encompass a wider area.
New families moving to the area recognise 3rd Wokingham has a ‘family’ outlook and this is due to Mack’s involvement with the Group. We are already benefiting from youngsters on Keephatch Park who wish to join us.
