Jim Bell received a Civic Award in 2008 in recognition of his research and authorship on many important aspects of Wokingham’s history including buildings, personalities, and events. The income from the sale of his books go to the Mayor’s chosen charity of each year. A former membership secretary of the Wokingham Society, Jim also provided support to St. Paul’s Church.
