Mervyn Clark received a Civic Award in 2008 in recognition of him being a highly valued member of The Wokingham Lions Club and being Chairman of The Wokingham May Fayre Committee, where his organising skills were invaluable. At this time he was also the Treasurer of the Wokingham Winter Carnival Committee.
