Ann Jeater received a Civic Award in 2008 in recognition of her contribution to the Red Cross and the Wokingham History Group including active involvement in publications, research projects and being a town history guide. She had been the Wokingham Branch organiser and Vice President for Berkshire. She produced at her own expense the publication of “The British Red Cross in Berkshire from 1907 – 2007”, the proceeds of which she donated to the Red Cross organisation.
