About Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor was given a Civic Award in 1997 for his involvement with Wokingham Lions and other organisations.

There follows an extract from the Wokingham Times in 1997: –

“Wokingham Lions member Peter Taylor, aged 70, is a man who lends his support to a lot of local causes. He was born and bred in the town and has been a Lion since 1979, performing various roles within the fundraising organisation.

He is also involved with the Red Cross, the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in  Reading and the Woodlarks Camp for handicapped children. He said “I joined the Lions because I thought what a good idea it would be to help other people and enjoy yourself at the same time.”
