Peggy Priest was given a Civic Award in 1997 for her work with the youth of Woosehill.
There follows an extract from the Wokingham Times in 1997: –
“In the special category “Beyond the call of Duty”, the committee chose Peggy Priest because of her with the youth of Woosehill. Peggy of Saturn Way, formed 14 years ago with the help of her husband Alan, the Woosehill Youth Club which operates from Hawthorne School. She works four evenings a week and at weekends helping youths in the area with the club.”
