She lead the final parade of the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) through Wokingham in 2015 before they moved from their base in Arborfield to MOD Lynham. Wokingham has close links to REME who, on 21st October 1978 were conferred the title of Honorary Townspeople of Wokingham.
Claire is now a colonel in the REME.
