This photograph was given to St Paul’s C of E Junior School by Gwen Van Denbuleke, Granddaughter of Emily Smith. Emily completed the Sampler in April 1881 when she was 11 year’s old. Her father was landlord of the Three Brewers Public House.
Emily died on 5th July aged 53 and is buried in St. Paul’s Churchyard.
The original Sampler was passed to Gwen when her Mother (Emily’s daughter) died in the year 2000.
