Charles Mansfield

About Charles Mansfield

Charles Mansfield was one of H.M. Inspectors of Schools in the Transvaal, South Africa and later became headmaster, and joint proprietor of Wixenford School, now Ludgrove School, near Wokingham. He was ordained Deacon of Oxford on the 22nd September 1929 and was attached to All Saints’ Church, Wokingham as Curate of the Parish. In 1934 he resigned from the council to accept the vicariate of St. Mary’s Church in Dunsford, near Exeter, in Devon, a position he held until 1937.
Charles died in 1956 at his home, The Cottage, in Topsham, Devon.
