Patrick Allen received a Civic Award in 2009 for his high contribution to the Wokingham Lions Club, having been a member for many years and at this time had been President twice and set up the German Twinning arrangements with the Lions clubs in Germany .He was awarded a coveted Melvin Jones Award by Lions International for exceptional service to the community.
