About Kaanaanmaa Diamond Jubilee Pin

This acorn shaped pin  was commissioned in recognition of the Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II and reflects the Council’s crest and motto, E glande quercus “from the acorn, the oak”

It was presented to the Mayor at a ceremony as part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations on 3rd June 2012 and now forms part of the civic regalia.

It is a hand-made piece, of 18ct gold and set with approx 100 diamonds made by Kaanaanmaa jewellers of Wokingham. When not being worn by the Mayor at Civic events it rests in a silver stand.
